It has been several weeks since I started moving in. Mind you that doesn't mean I have had three weeks in my studio; I have been lucky to get at least one day a week. I have whittled down my mending pile and finished up a couple of small projects.
I promised myself my first project was going to be new curtains for the living room; they are not anything fancy but they are lined with blackout fabric that we will enjoy come summertime.
Next on the list was a new jacket for my grandson. I had bought some duck fabric to make him one like his grumpa's (a carhart) but I was unable to find a zipper that would compliment the mustard color I had chosen for him. this is what I ended up with
my mind has been debating on what to work on next. maybe finish another UFO (unfinished object) like my daughter's dress, after all it only need a zipper and a halter strap. I thoroughly hate zippers. they can bring me too a stand still in an instant.
I decided I would leave that to another day when I can start fresh and early.
I found some half triangle squares from a quilt I started almost ten years ago. that quilt still adorns my bed although my dogs have been pretty rough with it. it is beginning to show it's age and that it has been well loved :-).

I didn't feel like committing to a new project just quite yet because I feel guilty I have so many UFOs. I played with my blocks and came up with this. Not bad for just messing around :-)
